Beyond Fiction is an independent production company renowned for creating high-quality cinematic dramas, documentaries and original entertainment. Founded by BAFTA-winning director Jamie Jones and producer Emily Jones, the company works with brands, broadcasters, platforms and partners to tell human-led stories with craft, clarity and emotional weight.
JAMIE JONES
Jamie Jones is a director and producer with 20+ years behind the camera. He cut his teeth in TV documentaries and reality television, where he learned pace, structure and how to find the human heartbeat in any story. Since then, he has brought that eye to brands including Adidas, Google, Jack Wolfskin, Barclays, The Guardian and Virgin, creating documentary-led work that is cinematic, honest and alive. His films have appeared on BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Nowness, VICE and WaterBear. His feature debut, OBEY, premiered at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival in 2018, where it won, followed by a BAFTA Cymru for Breakthrough Director in 2019.
EMILY JONES
Emily Jones is a producer and creative producer with a background across film, documentary, branded content and publishing. She produced OBEY, Jamie Jones’ debut feature, which premiered at Tribeca and went on to screen internationally. Her work also includes documentaries for VICE, award-winning shorts and brand series. Before film, Emily worked in editorial and marketing at SAGE Publications and Routledge, developing books from proposal through to publication. That background gave her a strong instinct for story, structure, audience and clarity — skills she now brings to Beyond Fiction as a producer and creative force.
